Anderlecht defender Derrick Luckassen rules out return to PSV

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, Derrick Luckassen has reiterated that he has no desire to return to Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven.

The center-back who can also play as a right-back is owned by PSV but asked for a move away from the club at the start of the 2019/2020 season after he had a falling out with his manager at that time, Mark van Bommel.

Belgian Pro League giants Anderlecht at that time came to his rescue and secured his services for a season-long loan move.

He has been playing for the Purple and Whites since then until the Coronavirus pandemic caused the suspension of football.

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, Belgian football authorities announced that Club Brugge has been declared champions of the Pro League to bring the season to a close.

In line with that, Derrick Luckassen will be expected to return to his parent club PSV Eindhoven.

In a recent interview, he has just like before stressed that he does not want to play for the Dutch Eredivisie side anymore.

According to him, life “Don't feel at home there”.

Anderlecht is said to be very interested in permanently signing the center-back but will have up till My 31, 2020, to exercise the purchase option in his loan agreement.

Sources say he is valued below 5 million Euros.
