On-loan striker Abraham claims Chelsea still \'my main target\'

Tammy Abraham insists his focus remains on breaking into the Chelsea first-team.

20-year-old is currently enjoying a successful loan spell with Swansea City, having scored four goals in nine Premier League appearances.

His form has been rewarded by Gareth Southgate, who has named the gangly striker in the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil, and Abraham is hopeful he can continue complete his ultimate goal of succeeding at Stamford Bridge.

"My main focus is Swansea but pushing on, my main target is to be in that Chelsea squad," he said.

"It's not going to be easy, you look at the players that are there, but you have to keep pushing and keep working as hard as you can.

"I want to show the world what I'm truly made of."

Abraham not naive about how difficult it will be to attain his goal, but he is also confident in his abilities.

He added: "Of course it will be difficult. You're playing in one of the best leagues in the world.

"In the Premier League you're playing against some of the best defenders in the world but it's nice for me to have that competition.

"Gareth (Southgate) is a manager who likes to bring up young talent and that gives us a lot of confidence."
