Orlando Pirates provides injury update on Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori

South African outfit Orlando Pirates have provided an injury update on Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori.

Ofori, who missed the 2022 World Cup due to injury is expected to sit out for another month on the sidelines.

However, the Black Stars shot stopper will miss Orlando Pirates clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday, December 30 as the league returns.

"Also on the mend is goalkeeper Richard Ofori facing up to a further month on the sidelines following a knee injury that ruled him out of the FIFA World Cup," wrote the club on their official website.

The Ghana international has been struggling with a knee injury that has affected his campaign this season.

Ofori has played ten games this season, keeping five clean sheets. He also made three appearances in the MTN 8 as Orlando Pirates won the tournament.

Despite his injury troubles this season, the 29-year-old has been linked with clubs abroad with teams in Saudi Arabia interested in his services.

Ofori lost his number one spot at the national team to Jojo Wollacot due to injury.
