Chelsea midfielder Oscar would sensationally become the third highest player in the world if he is to complete a high profile move to big spending Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG in the coming weeks.
According to The Times, Oscar will be paid a net sum of £20m each year in China, the equivalent of around £400,000-per-week and more than four times what he currently earns.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who you won't need reminding now have nine Ballon d'Or awards between them, earn more than that.
The transfer fee itself is expected to be around £60m, which would also make Oscar one of the most expensive players of all time - just a handful of selectsuperstars have ever moved for more.
Earlier this week, the Brazilian admitted to media in his homeland that the Chinese transfer is "90% certain" and is now relying on just "a few bureaucratic details" before completion.
One familiar face in Shanghai will be international colleague Hulk, while the club is also currently led by former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas. Oscar and the Portuguese coach never crossed paths in England but they do at least share common ground.
However, rather than happily accepting the huge financial opportunity, there are rumours that Oscar would prefer to stay at Stamford Bridge instead.
The 25-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Internacional in 2012, hasn't started a Premier League game for three months, but Sky Sports sources claim that Oscar is actually keen to fight for his place in west London. That's despite what a move east could offer him.
