Borussia Dortmund youth development coach Otto Addo is expected to lead the Black Stars team for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and 2022 FIFA World Cup respectively.

Footballghana.com understands Dortmund and Ghana Football Association (GFA) have reached an agreement to release Otto Addo for the Black Stars until 2023.

"I got permission from Dortmund. Under certain conditions, it works out that I can do the international game phases in June, September, and also the World Cup," Addo said in a podcast of Hamburger Abendblatt.

The former Black Stars player together with his technical crew led Ghana to secure qualification to the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria in March and are set to lead the West African powerhouse in the qualifiers slated for June.

Ghana have been handed a tricky Africa Cup of Nations draw, as they face Madagascar, Angola, and the Central African Republic in Group E of the qualifiers.

The Black Stars will open their account in the qualifiers against Madagascar on June 1 at the Cape Coast stadium which has been approved by the Confederation of African Football.

Otto Addo and his technical team will also lead the Black Stars in the upcoming World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Ghana has been paired against Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H.
