Otto Addo urges Ghanaians to support a 'young' Black Stars team

Otto Addo, a former Black Stars coach, has asked Ghanaians to rally behind the current Black Stars squad despite the squad's early exit from the tournament.

Ghana was eliminated from the tournament after failing to overcome Uruguay in the last group H match at the Al Janoub Stadium on Friday evening.

The squad finished at the bottom of Group H, with three points from three matches. Ghana lost two games against Portugal and Uruguay. The only win was against South Korea.

Otto Addo announced his resignation at the post-match press conference yesterday.

Speaking at Ghana Football Association's media briefing Otto Addo said:

“I said we all have to change our mentality and support a little bit more especially for a young team like this which can surely win the AFCON but sometimes things take time to integrate, to develop,”

“I would like you to let them work in peace, grow in peace and develop in peace,”
