Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Tony Aubynn is confident coach Annor Walker will qualify Black Galaxies for the 2023 Championship of African Nations.

Ghana are aiming to end their CHAN drought having missed out on the last three editions in Rwanda, Morocco and Cameroon.

The Black Galaxies will take on Nigeria in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Cape Coast stadium.

"We had a very good place for training in Austria, all the facilities were there. The pitch is grass and not Astro Turf, so with the training aspect we have done alot," Aubynn told Asempa FM.

"Our coaches are also poised to qualify us for the CHAN."

He added, "For the players, we have not seen such discipline players before. They’re very committed to their job. They are motivated to bring good results to Ghana. Though the players have not received their winning bonuses but the authorities are working around to solve it."

"We know Nigerians are eager and hungry to eliminate us considering what we did to the Super Eagles in the FIFA World Cup but we are also poised."

The next edition is slated for Algeria from Sunday, January 8 to Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
