Our performance in the league will not affect us in the FA Cup final - Bofoakwa Tano CEO Alexander Ababio

Alexander Ababio, the CEO of Bofoakwa Tano, has asserted that the team's poor performance in the Ghana Premier League will not impact their upcoming FA Cup final match.

Despite a challenging season that culminated in their relegation to Division One in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, Ababio remains confident in the team's ability to perform well on Sunday.

Mr. Ababio made this statement ahead of their crucial FA Cup final match against regional rivals, Nsoatreman FC, set to take place this weekend.

"Our performance on the field I will rate the team 55% but in all I will say 60% because one some of the officiating was not good for us and part from that the behaviour of our supporters exhibited led to a ban against us," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"So some of the problem is from us and the other is from external forces like I said in all our performance was 60%.

"No (performance in the league) will not affect us because the FA Cup competition though it is all football but it is a different competition altogether."

The final match will be held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 18:00 GMT.
