PAOK Thessaloniki set aside €6 million to finance transfer of Bernard Mensah

Greek giants PAOK Thessaloniki have intensified its quest to sign Bernard Mensah after reportedly setting aside a sum of €6 million to finance a deal with Kayserispor.

The Ghanaian international has been at the center of transfer speculations since January and continues to be linked with a transfer away from his Turkish Super Lig side in the summer.

The midfielder is wanted by a host of clubs including Besiktas, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Spartak and Lokomotiv Moscow.

The latest to join the race is Greek Super League side PAOK Thessaloniki. According to sources, the club has put Bernard Mensah high on their wishlist and is ready to secure his services.

It is understood that they are prepared to spend €6 million to sign the midfielder from Kayserispor.

Mensah, 25, impressed in the Turkish Super Lig before the campaign was suspended because of the Coronavirus disease. He scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists after making 21 appearances.
