Ghanaian international Thomas Teye Partey is expecting a very tough encounter with Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga this weekend.

The two clubs based in the Spanish capital city of Madrid will lock horns on Saturday to fight for 3 crucial points in a game dubbed the Madrid derby.

While Real Madrid looks to be enjoying a good run, Atletico has been unimpressive in their last five matches and are struggling to record wins.

Ahead of this weekend's titanic meeting, Thomas Partey says the Los Rojiblancos will need to be focused. According to him, the team goes up against Los Blancos because they know they have the support of the supporters who will be hoping for a positive result.

"It is a game in which you have to have a lot of attention, be better than them and be more forceful", the Black Stars defensive midfielder said in a statement to the media.

He added, "We are united, we are working well and we always know that such a match against Madrid is special for the fans. That helps us and motivates us to face it with maximum concentration," he said.
