Paul Aidoo joins Aduana Stars from Medeama SC

Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars have acquired the services of Medeama SC defender Paul Aidoo on a three year deal, footballghana.com has gathered.

The versatile defender has joined the champions who are beefing up their squad for the CAF Champions League next season.

Paul Aidoo has been one of the outstanding performers in the Ghana Premier League and was influential as Medeama finished 6th last season.

The former Black Starlets Captain has been one of the most sought after players, with new Premier League side Karela reported to have agreed to sign him, but a deal form the Champions was difficult to ignore.

However, the player will have to acquire a floating status from the Football Association following a standoff between Aduana Stars and Medeama SC, to allow the easy transfer of the defender.

If the deal is fully complete, Paul Aidoo will become the fourth player to join the Dormaa based club after the acquisitions of Hafiz Adams from Wa All Stars, Caleb Amankwa from WAFA and Congolese import Uba Ikama from Club Aspe.

Aduana Stars have already begun preseason ahead of the GHALCA G8 tournament in January, as well as the Champions League and the Ghana Premier League.

The Ghanaian Champions have drawn Al Tahaddy of Libya in the Preliminary round of the CAF Champions League which begins on the weekend of 9-11 February.
