Ghana forward John Yeboah has revealed he was mocked when he decided to sign for Śląsk Wrocław at the start of the just concluded season.

He signed a three year-deal with Śląsk Wrocław but left with an impressive debut season.

He signed a three-year deal with Poland champions Raków Częstochowa that will keep him at the club until 2026.

Bidding farewell to his former side, the 23-year-old was left emotional in an Instagram post.

"Where do I even start? I came here with no experience and no impression of the country. The last year opened my eyes and gave me confidence," he said.

"I can remember a lot people laughed at me for this step but at the end of the day SlasK Wroclaw is the team that brought me forward and gave me a good opportunity.

"I want to say a special thank to my friend Dennis for everything. In the last year, we spent a lot of time together and I‘m thankful for that. You are a great person and I appreciate everything you have done.

"I also want to say thank you to my team and the staff and my coaches who have trusted me. And of course a big thank you to the fans you will always stay in my heart!"

The German-born Ghanaian featured in 32 games for Śląsk Wrocław, scoring 10 goals and provided two assists.
