Kevin Kyei, the agent of Ghanaian defender Maxwell Gyamfi, says people doubted his client’s capabilities when he signed for Osnabrück last season.
The 23-year-old was crucial as they secured promotion to the German Bundesliga 2. He featured in 35 games all season.
Kyei added that the sports business is such that just a few people would believe you until you are successful.
“I am certain that hardly anyone believed that Maxwell would have such an amazing season, crowned with promotion,” he told RevierSport.
“I still remember that many people initially underestimated us, but that's just how the business goes (laughs),” he added.
Kelvin Kyei also indicated that it was crucial they aware on the same page on the issue, as it enabled hard work from Gyamfi’s side.
“It was crucial that both of us believed in the vision and worked hard to be where we are now.
“Nevertheless, there is still a long way ahead of us. One thing is clear: he can be extremely proud of himself and his development."
