Pep Guardiola Angry With Media Representation of Chat With Txiki Begiristain

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is supposedly unhappy with the media after reports of a bust up with Director of Football TxikiBegiristain, according toThe Sun.

The former Barcelona manager was pictured having an animated conversation with Begiristain afterhis side's 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on New Year's Eve. Guardiola is even seen to punch his own hand in anger several times, leading to reports in a number of newspapers of a disagreement between the two.

Two days later, after City's 2-0 win over Burnley, Guardiola was particularly snappy with the post match reporter and it is believed the Spaniard was using the interview as an opportunity to vent his frustration at the media.

The City managergave a very minimalinterviewon Monday and whenasked about Fernandinho'sred card in the game he responded, "You are the journalist, not me."

When questioned about hismood Guardiola claimed, "More than you believe I am happy. I am so happy, happy new year," yet the anger-filled eyes suggested otherwise.

The Catalan has struggled in his first year in English football as Man City currently find themselves in 3rd place.

Things could become even worse for City if Chelseabeat Tottenham on Wednesday night, whichcould see the Citizens trail Conte's men by ten points.

However, Man City have a brief respite from Premier League football as they take on West Ham on Friday in the London Stadium's first ever FA Cup clash.
