PFAG boss Tony Baffoe welcomes Lothar Matthäus to Ghana

In a momentous occasion bridging the boundaries of football, the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) witnessed a remarkable gathering as their boss, Tony Baffoe, extended a warm embrace to the legendary Lothar Matthäus on Ghanaian soil.

With the charismatic allure of football uniting nations, Baffoe's enthusiastic welcome echoed the nation's joy in hosting the iconic German footballer, solidifying Ghana's status as a global hub for sporting excellence.

Tony Baffoe was speaking at a partnership event between Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions and Lothar Matthäus. Baffoe also revealed that Matthäus has always wanted to coach an African team.

Ghana Football Association boss Kurt Okraku was at the partnership event.

"From our discussion, I know Lothar Matthäus has always wanted to coach an African team and we are thrilled to have you in Ghana and this partnership," Tony Baffoe said.

Matthäus 62, captained West Germany to victory in the 1990 FIFA World Cup where he lifted the World Cup trophy.
