Experienced goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy has returned to Dreams FC ahead of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.

The one-time Black Stars goal tender played on loan at Israeli club Hapoel Afula last season and became an instant hero by helping the club to finish mid table with some catchy performances.

Afula wanted to sign him on permanent basis but did not have the financial power which made him to move back to his parent club.

McCarthy has a running three-year contract with Dreams FC and the President of the GN Division One Zone Three winners Mohammed Jiji Alifoe lauded his return.

“We are glad to have him back and this only confirms the quality Philemon possesses”, club President Mohammed Jiji Alifoe told Dreams Media.

“During his first season here, he was happy, He enjoyed the family and I’m sure it is one of the reasons He considers returning. The unity among the players is strong enough’’.

McCarthy joined Dreams FC in the second round of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League season and put up splendid performances which included scoring a long range effort against New Edubiase at the Theatre of Dreams Dawu.

The talented keeper has previously featured for WAFA (Feyenoord) as well as Accra Hearts of Oak.
