PHOTO: Chelsea Goalkeeper Dwarfed by Philadelphia Basketball Star During Recent Trip to the USA

Published on: 19 December 2016

At 6 foot and 6 inches, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is used to towering over the vast majority of other Premier League players.

It was perhaps somewhat of a strange feeling for the Blues shot stopper, then, when he was dwarfed himself by someone even taller than he is.

Courtois chose to celebrate Chelsea cementing top spot in England's top flight over Christmas by flying out to the USA on Saturday to take in a basketball game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets, and posed for an image with 76ers star Joel Embiid ahead of the clash:

Yep, at 7 foot and 2 inches, Embiid certainly lauds its over the Belgium international alright.

It is not the first time that Courtois has been seen mingling with players and teams in the NBA, with the goalkeeper visiting Minnesota Timberwolves' training camp during Chelsea's pre-season tour of America in the summer.

Clearly a fan of basketball, Courtois was even filmed performing a slam dunk during his visit to the Timberwolves' base of operations:

You've got to wonder if Courtois would be tearing it up stateside if his football career hadn't taken off, haven't you?|
