Michael Essien was feeling in a reflective mood on Tuesday as he continues to train with his former club Chelsea at their Cobham base.
Chelsea legend Essien has been training with his former club in recent weeks as he bids to keep up his fitness levels during his search for a new side.
Essien was released by Greek side Panathinaikos last summer and is yet to find a new club.
The former Blues midfielder has been a regular visitor to Chelsea’s training ground in recent weeks as he keeps himself ticking over.
And the Ghanaian player used his personal Instagram account to reflect on his past glory days at Chelsea alongside one of the west London club’s kit men.
Essien posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “With @robbo1958 one of the best kitman @chelseafc good old days #CFC?⚽️??”
Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table as they bid to win the title in Antonio Conte’s first season at the club.
The west London side take on West Ham United at the London Stadium next Monday night.
