PHOTO: Gary Neville Comes Out Firing on Social Media in Response to Attack by Loris Karius

Sky Sports Pundit Gary Neville has come out fighting against Liverpool's Loris Karius with a tongue-in-cheek comment on social media following comments made on his analysis of the keeper.

Following his blunder-filled game against Bournemouth, which saw two mistakes that led to goals and ultimately saw his side lose 4-3 after being 3-1 with 15 minutes to go, Neville made comments about the keeper's ability as Liverpool's future number one.

Karius then replied to Neville's criticism days later by claiming he 'doesn't care' what he thinks about him, referring to the pundit's failed managerial career as a factor in why he shouldn't have a say in who's hot and who's not.

And now, to try and put this argument to bed, the former United defendertook to social media to apologise in a rather sarcastic manner, as well as posting a picture of what Jamie Carragher had also said about the keeper's abilities, which Neville felt that Karius chose to ignore because he is an Anfield legend.

The caption said: "My sincere apologies Karius. You're right. A failed manager hasn't a clue. I won't copy your great fan, pundit and club legend again."

Carragher, who is a regular alongside Neville during Sky Sports' analysis of Premier League fixtures, had said: "In eight starts for Liverpool he (Karius) has not shown me one thing to suggest he's good enough at this level. He's yet to convince me in any game.

"It's still early days but he would need a massive improvement. When your defence is under pressure, sometimes you need your goalkeeper to save it and he's miles away."

Karius: I don't care what Gary Neville said. He was a manager for a short bit and now he is back to being an expert again...

It's fair to say that this little squabble probably isn't over yet, with Carragher yet to have his say on his co-star's comments made towards him and Karius.
