The home-based players invited to the Black Stars camp have held their first training session this evening.

Ahead of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe next month, Coach CK Akonnor has invited 32 home-based players to commence preparation.

With players reporting to camp today, the technical team has taken them through a first training session expected to help their recovery on the back of their involvement with their teams in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.

After today’s recovery session at the McDan La town park, there will be an intensive session from tomorrow going.

Meanwhile, all six invited Kotoko players to the camp of the Black Stars have been excused to allow them to prepare with the team for their CAF Confederations Cup encounter against ES Setif next weekend.
