Asante Kotoko on Thursday afternoon trained in Mauritania after arriving in the country to commence intensified training for the game against FC Nouadhibou in the CAF Champions League.

Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the Ghanaian giants have been scheduled to face off with the Mauritanian Champions in a two-legged tie in the preliminary stages of the Champions League.

With the first of the two meetings initially set to be played on Friday, Asante Kotoko arrived in Mauritania yesterday only for the team to be informed that the game has been moved to Sunday, November 29.

Having adjusted their plans accordingly, the Reds managed to hold a first training session yesterday at the Stade Olympique in Nouakchott.

Additional training sessions are expected to be held later today and on Saturday, before the showdown with FC Nouadhibou comes off on Sunday.
