Ghana's men's national team, the Black Stars, arrived at camp on Monday morning to commence preparations for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round five qualifier against Madagascar.

The players arrived individually, dressed in their best attire and arrived in luxury cars, to join their teammates for the first training session on Monday evening.

The training session was scheduled to begin at 4 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Out of the 25 players named by head coach Chris Hughton for the crucial match that could secure Ghana's spot in next year's tournament, 24 players have arrived.

Thomas Teye Partey, the Arsenal midfielder and deputy captain of the Black Stars, is the only player who is yet to report to the camp.

In the subsequent sessions, the remaining 24 players are expected to undergo basic drills led by Hughton as they step up their preparation.

The Black Stars will be guests of Madagascar in their penultimate qualifier game on June 18, with a draw securing their place in the AFCON held in Ivory Coast next year.
