PICS: Ghana international Caleb Ekuban joins Trabzonspor on a season-long loan

Turkish giants, Trabzonspor have announced the signing Ghana international Caleb Ansah Ekuban in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Ekuban, 24, has joined the Black sea storm after penning a season-long loan deal after completing the formalities.

He emerged as a prime target for Trabzonspor after he was frozen out of English Championship side Leeds United squad by manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Ekuban has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2017 when he moved from Chievo in Italy.

The Italian-born Ghanaian struggled to make an impact at Elland Road so far and is not guaranteed a place in the Whites’ starting lineup.

Ekuban started 12 matches and made eight substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds last season, scoring one goal in the process.
