The Black Meteors underwent a recovery exercise after the group landed in Kumasi on Saturday afternoon, under the direction of coach Ibrahim Tanko and his assistants.

After a 1-1 draw with their Algerian opponents in the first leg of their CAF U23 AFCON qualifying match, the squad left Algeria early on Saturday morning on a chartered airplane.

All players participated in the training session, so there are no concerns about injuries coming into the second leg, which is set for Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 4 pm.

On Sunday morning, the squad will return to the training facility to continue preparing for the game on Tuesday.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko's side has been boosted with captain Afriyie Barnieh available for selection after serving his suspension for a red card he received in the last CHAN competition.

GFA President Kurt ES Okraku, Management Committee Frederick Acheampong, and other GFA officials were at the Baba Yara Stadium to support the lads ahead of the crucial clash against Algeria.
