Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey, has revealed that playing at the highest level is a dream come true for him.
The 27-year-old has spent his peak years at the Spanish side and has become a key cog in Diego Simeone's setup. He is currently on the radar of Arsenal who seek to add him to their ranks next season.
“ It's a dream come true for me. Sometimes I can't believe I'm here because I'm looking at my friends and I can't even imagine myself here. I sometimes want to ask them, what have I done to be here? Why aren't they here?" he quizzed.
"But then I tell myself that it's because I was patient, I was in no rush to do it. I feel that I have to congratulate myself all the time because it is not easy to reach this level, ”he said.
He is currently in Benfica with the rest of the Atletico Madrid squad as they prepare for a Champions League clash with Liepzig.
