The Division One League is a highly competitive and challenging league in Ghanaian football, where teams compete fiercely to gain promotion to the Premier League.
Eric Eli, the Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Lions, a football club that competes in the Division One League, recently spoke about the difficulties and obstacles that teams face when competing in this league.
According to Eli, playing in the Division One League is not an easy feat, and teams have to overcome several hurdles to succeed.
"It was not easy it is not a fluke that a lot of people describe our national Division One League as the wilderness of Ghana football. Division One has everything you have very good teams, quality of play very high, sometimes you have bad officiating, good officiating, hooliganism sometimes it is a blend of everything," he said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"But for us as a team looking at our performance it was not just out of luck we have been able to perform tremendously this particular season. If you look at what Dr. Randy Abbey has laid down for this particular club the structures are well put in place that it makes competition very interesting in the club,"
