Portugal-based forward Emmanuel Boateng not worried about recent Black Stars snub

Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng says his not perturbed about his exclusion from the Black Stars in recent times.

Boateng, who made his debut for the Black Stars in 2018 has consistently been overlooked by the technical handlers of the national team.

In an interview, the former Levante star said he is not worried about his Black Stars snub

“I’m not worried. We should always respect the coach’s choice of players. As a player, I will do my best on the pitch, work hard and determined to give out my best in every game. Not getting call up is not a problem” he said.

Boateng has made 6 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring one goal in the process since his debut in 2018.

The forward currently plies his trade for Rio Ave in the Portuguese top-flight. The 27-year-old joined the club in August 2022, signing a two-year deal with the club.

His current contract is expected to run out in the summer of 2024.

The Ghana international scored six goals in 31 games across competitions for Rio Ave in the just-ended.
