Asante Kotoko cruises past Vision FC with a 2-1 win

Asante Kotoko secured a 2-1 victory over Vision Football Club on Sunday afternoon ahead of the start of the new football season.

The Ghanaian top-flight league record winners played against the newcomers in the friendly match staged at the Cape Coast Stadium.

In what is likely to be the last friendly match for the Porcupine Warriors, the team played well in two halves to secure the victory.

A first-half brace from midfielder Albert Amoah proved important at full-time as Asante Kotoko defeated Vision FC.

The consolation goal for Vision FC was a penalty kick converted by Issah Kuka in the second half.

The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to commence on Friday, September 6.

Asante Kotoko will take on Karela United on the opening weekend of the league while newly-promoted Vision FC will face off with Berekum Chelsea.
