Lower-tier outfit, Proud United has held Hearts of Oak to a 2-2 draw at the Glow Lamp Academy this afternoon.

The Two clubs are preparing for the start of the 2020/2021 football season and decided to engage in a pre-season friendly match today.

On the matchday, Hearts of Oak excelled in the first half and dominated the opponent.

Soon, the Ghana Premier League giants took the lead courtesy of a strike from young attacker Michelle Sarpong.

Having managed to build on the momentum, Hearts of Oak doubled their lead through an equalizer from midfield powerhouse Emmanuel Nettey before the break.

While they hoped to continue the scoring in the second half, Proud United fought back to cause the Phobians all sorts of trouble.

The lower-tier side managed to score later in the half to ensure the game ended 2-2 after halving the deficit a few minutes after recess.

Heats of Oak is expected to return to Accra this week to wrap up pre-season training ahead of the official start of the new season on November 14.
