Tottenham Hotspur won their first Premier League game under Antonio Conte, coming from behind to defeat Leeds 2-1.

The Italian, on the other hand, will have no question about the magnitude of the task before of him.

Conte, who presided over two games before the international break, saw his players booed off at halfway after conceding a goal to Daniel James.

However, a much-improved second-half performance resulted in goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon, giving the team the three points and ending a three-game losing streak in the league.

Tottenham now sits in seventh place, just four points below the top four. And, with Manchester United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having been fired earlier this week, the Spurs administration will be relieved that they made the decision to hire Conte three weeks ago.

Leeds had additional decent chances to score a second goal and could have departed north London with at least a point. Despite the loss, Marcelo Bielsa's squad remains just above the relegation zone.
