Premier League Fantasy Football! Who's Hot & Who's Not in Gameweek 23

Published on: 30 January 2017

If you had any one of Gary Cahill, Seamus Coleman and Roberto Firmino, it's likely you picked up agood points haul in your fantasy team last week.

A few of the big teams play lower league opposition during the upcoming midweek fixtures, with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all hopeful of recording big wins against relegation candidates.

So who should you include in your lineup?

Goalkeepers

Who's Hot

David de Gea - The Spaniard will be back in action for United after being rested in the FA Cup, and will hope to keep out the likes of Abel Hernandezwhen the Red Devils take on Hull City.

Petr Cech - Watford returned to scoring ways in the Premier League last time out against Bournemouth, but Arsenal should have enough to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday.

Who's Not

Simon Mignolet - Liverpool just can't keep clean sheets at the moment, and their chances of keeping the likes of Diego Costa at bay on Tuesday seem slim.

Vito Mannone - Up against the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, Mannone will do exceptionally well to come away with a good haul of points against Spurs.

Defenders

Who's Hot

Seamus Coleman - The full-back is in exquisite attacking form right now, having recorded a goal and an assist to go with two clean sheets in the past few gameweeks.

Chris Brunt - A Baggies defender is always a good shout for your team, and winger-turned-defender Chris Brunt is naturally inclined to bomb forward and grab the occasional goal or assist.

Who's Not

Virgil van Dijk- Southampton's star man picked up an ankle injury and it is unclear when he'll be back in action.

John Stones- The England international made a substitute appearance against Tottenham during City's last Premier League game, and Pep Guardiola's side are without a clean sheet since Boxing Day.

Midfielders

Who's Hot

Kevin de Bruyne - The 25-year-old picked up a goal and an assist thanks to Hugo Lloris' clangers during the 2-2 draw against Spurs, and will fancy his chances of another good performanceagainst West Ham.

Roberto Firmino -His side might be up against a defensively stubborn Chelsea side, but Firmino is in good form having bagged two goals against Swansea, and will punish any mistake the Blues make at the back.

Who's Not

Eden Hazard - Undoubtedly having a great season but in the short term Hazard has not delivered, currently without a goal since the 3-0 win over Bournemouth in December.

Nolito - Many might have forgotten about the former Celta Vigo winger, given that he hasn't featured in any of City's past four league games.

Forwards

Who's Hot

Fernando Llorente - One of the men tasked with keeping the Swans up, Llorente was in inspired form against Liverpool, bagging a brace, and a home tie against Southampton looks favourable for more points.

Diego Costa - Now that his short term future is sorted out Costa will be back in Chelsea's team and perhaps hungrier than ever for goals against a leaky Liverpool side.

Who's Not

Jamie Vardy - Perhaps unsurprisingly Vardy hasn't produced the fantastic form of last season and has not hit the back of the net in the league since his hat-trick against Manchester City in December.

Salomon Rondon - While the Colombian remains an important part of West Brom's team, the likes of Matt Phillips andChris Brunt have proved to be more valuable going forward than Rondon
