Premier League Shot-Stopper to Name First Son After Superbowl Champion Tom Brady

Published on: 06 February 2017

There are certain moments in all sports where a team battles back from a seemingly inevitable defeat to clinch victory in the dying seconds. Football has seen many moments like this as many sports have. However, the spectacle of the NFL Superbowl had the world in awe as the New England Patriots downed the Atlanta Falcons in an incredible comeback.

Many footballers tweeted their reaction to the amazing comeback victory that will go down in sporting history, although one player, in particular, took the cake with a spectacular tweet honouring Patriot's superstar quarterback Tom Brady.

Chelsea and Bosnia& Herzegovina goalkeeper Asmir Begovic tweeted his awe over Tom Brady saying he would call his son Brady to honour the five-time Superbowl champion.

If I'm ever lucky enough to have a son, he will be called Brady. Book it!

The Blues second goalkeeper was the subject of interest throughout the January window as many Premier League clubs targeted the former Stoke City number one as a priority signing.

Having being targeted by Bournemouth and West Ham, the 29-year-old looked set to leave Stamford Bridge in January, although with Chelsea not signing another goalkeeper to back upThibaut Courtois, Begovic remained in London.

While he has voiced his opinion and displeasure in the lack of match time he is receiving under Antonio Conte, a move away from Chelsea looks on the cards for the former starter in the summer as he looks to get amongst regular football.

However, in the meantime, fans of the shot-stopper will be wondering how traditionally Bosnian the name Brady Begovic sounds.
