Premier League Trio Eyeing Hull City Youngster Josh Tymon Ahead of Transfer Window

Hull City may have a fight on their hands to keep hold ofrecent Premier League debutant Josh Tymon, according to ESPN.

The 17-year-old defender appeared in the leaguefor the first time last weekend as the Tigers fell toSunderland, and has been catching the eyes of some of thePremier League giants.

Arsenal were among thoseimpressed by his display in the FA Cup last season and are now reportedly ready to step up their interest in the player.

Tymon is current still on a scholarship contract at Hull, meaning he is one of the lower earners in the league, reportedly onaround £150 per week. Having represented the club in boththe EFL andFA Cup and now the Premier League, it is clear that the youngster is making waves at the KCOM.

According to theHull Daily Mail,Tymon would be keen to commit his long term future to the Tigers, but no agreement has been reached thus far.

That news is likely to encourage Arsenal, who could also be challenged to the teenager's signature by Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton, who have also been tracking the Hull-born left back.

Arsene Wenger is no stranger to bringing in young English talent over the years, having signed Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calum Chambers and most recently and comparably, Rob Holding.

Everton and Liverpool too, have a track record of hoovering upprospects from rivals at a young age. The Reds, who are looking to increase their defensive cover, famouslytook Raheem Sterling from QPR aged 15, while their blue neighbours took John Stones from Barnsley in 2013 for around £3m.

Tymon has already represented the England national side at U17 level and looks likely to stake a claimfor the U21s in the near future.

Mike Phelan and the Hull hierarchywill no doubtbe working overtime to secure the talent teen's future. With some of the league's big hitterswaiting in the wings, it will be important for the Tigers to strike fast and protect their prized asset.
