According to an article that appeared in Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham are now in the running to sign Japanese sensation Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.
The defender, who has been recently linked with Tottenham and Atalanta, could be what West Ham needs as they look to bolster a squad that will have to play in Europe this upcoming season. Bologna are reportedly asking for 20M Euros for the Japanese international, and Atalanta do not seem willing to go past 18M, so that would leave the Hammers and Spurs in the race.
