Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has set sights on winning trophies during his time at the club.

Ogum joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal from West Africa Football Academy [WAFA].

The 43-year-old took over from Portuguese trainer, Mariano Barreto, who mutually parted ways with the club on Friday after just six months in charge of the club.

He will be assisted by David Ocloo and John Eduafo as the first team’s assistant coaches.

"I want Kotoko to play beautiful game that would please everyone who watches the team at training and in games.," coach Ogum said.

"I want Kotoko to win trophies in my time here as Head Coach."

He guided WAFA to a third-place finish in the just ended Ghana Premier League season accumulating 56 points in what appears the best season for the academy lads since they joined the premiership.

Prosper Narteh Ogum is a Sports Psychologist and Educationist. He has previously handled UCC Soccer Team, Elmina Sharks, Dwarfs, and Karela United.

Dr. Ogum is currently the deputy manager for the Ghana Black Stars B.
