PSG Considering Offer for Manchester United Star After Recent First Team Omission

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are considering making a move for Manchester United starlet Anthony Martial, according to theSun.

Martial scored twice in United's 4-1 win over West Ham in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, but has struggled for form and found it difficult to impress since Jose Mourinho took over as manager. The former Monaco man has found himself out of the team at times, and speculation is growing that the player may be sold on.

Heinitially joined United for £36m in 2015, making the move to Manchester despite the fact PSG were interested in signing him then. And according tolatest reports, Martial's two goals on Wednesday has taken United closer to having to pay a€10m lump sum for scoring 25 goals for the club.

Martial is currently on 21 goals, but a further€10m was paid last season when Martial clocked up 25 appearances. The excellent performance against the Hammers came just days after Mourinho warned the player that he needed to up his game or face further time out of the team.

Mourinho said at the time:"The way the team played last season - and I'm not saying better or worse, just different - was probably more adapted to Anthony.

"Probably he was feeling more comfortable playing that way, at that intensity, at that rhythm of the ball possession and ball circulation. So probably he needs also some time.

"But in our squad, for these positions, we have Mkhitaryan, Jesse Lingard, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Martial. These are probably the positions where we have more options.

Anthony Martial on 21 goals for Man Utd now; four more and a payment of €10,000,000 will be due to Monaco (!)

"And, you have one opportunity, you have two, you have three - if you don't bite, then somebody comes and takes the meat."

Speaking on PSG's interest though,a United source said: "It is well known PSG are very keen if the club does consider selling. He has been dropped recently against Feyenoord and West Ham and has generally struggled for form."
