Pundit Gives His Take on Who Arsenal Should Sign in January Transfer Window

Published on: 16 December 2016

Pundit Stewart Robson has said that Arsenal don't need to sign any players as the January transfer window looms.

Arsenal have had a positive start to the season and have found themselves joint second in the Premier League with Liverpool, trailing Chelsea by six points.

Their recent 2-1 loss to Evertonwas only their second domestic loss and the first since the opening day of the campaign, which Robson toldESPN FCis goodenough form to not need reinforcements.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have booked themselves a spot in the last-16 of the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

Despite their decent start, recent speculation has linked a host of players to North London, as the top clubs look to strengthen their squads for the title run in.

Fortunately, Arsene Wenger has players at his disposal coming back from injury that haven't featured much and Robson believes that the Frenchman should focus on his current crop of players.

Nobody. They don't need to buy any players. They have a big enough squad and good enough squad to win the Premier League," he said.

But they need the manager to get the best out of the players, and they need to defend crosses better when they come into the box.

I don't think they need any players. No, they don't need [a striker] “ they've got [Alexis] Sanchez who's playing really well, [Olivier] Giroud can come on and score goals, [Danny] Welbeck at some point will be fit again, [Theo] Walcott can play through the middle.

They just need to get the best out of the squad they've got. Arsene Wenger needs to do his job very well.

Arsenal face a tough trip to Manchester City in their next Premier League fixture this Sunday.
