Qarabag forward Kwabena Owusu elated after netting debut goal in Europa League

Young forward Kwabena Owusu has shared his joy after scoring for Qarabag FK in the team’s Europa League match against Villarreal on Thursday night.

Yesterday, the Ghana international earned a starting role for his team when they hosted the Spanish outfit in a Group I encounter of this season’s Europa League.

In a game played at the Tofiq Bakhramov Stadium, KwabenaOwusu opened the scoring for Qarabag FK in the 78th minute with an assist from Patrick Andrade.

Speaking in an interview today, the exciting attacker says he is happy with his debut goal in the European inter-club competition even though his team eventually lost 1-3.

“I was happy when I scored against Villarreal yesterday but we couldn't win I hope we will bounce back and I pray that after the Europa league competition I will get offers and come back to the black stars of Ghana”, Owusu said in an interview with Hot FM.

He has been key for his club since the 2020/2021 football season started and expected to significantly develop his game as the campaign progresses
