Rak-Sakyi has committed his future to the club for until summer 2027.

The 19-year-old made his senior debut in August 2021, featuring as a substitute aged just 18 against Chelsea. He then added a first Premier League start on the final day of the season against Manchester United, and joined the first-team on tour in Australia and Singapore.

"It [the extension] shows that he is part of the future of this football club," said Patrick Vieira. "He is a talent, and it’s good that he extended his contract, because that’s what we wanted.

"We just looked at what the best option was for him to go and experience more first-team football, and that [his loan to Charlton] was the best decision for him."

Rak-Sakyi has joined English Football League One side Charlton Athletic on a season long loan after successful negotiations.
