Scottish giants Rangers could sign Ghanaian defender Dennis Gyamfi in the January transfer window with the club now heavily linked with a move for the full-back to strengthen its squad.

In the last summer transfer window, before the English-born right-back saw his contract with Leicester City coming to an end, he was reportedly chased by the Glasgow-based outfit.

Unfortunately, a deal could not be agreed upon with officials of Rangers deciding to use homegrown talent, Nathan Patterson, as the back-up for experienced defender James Tavernier.

Now in the middle of the 2020/2021 Scottish Premier League season, there are fears that the in-form defender who has been outstanding under manager Steven Gerrard could suffer an injury.

If that was to happen, Rangers will lack on the right side of defense which could massively affect the team.

In line with that, reports in the Scottish media are indicating that a move to sign the free agent Dennis Gyamfi looks likely to happen before the January window closes.
