Hearts of Lions coach Bashir Hayford is optimistic about his outfit chances of escaping relegation at the end of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Kpando-based club secured a crucial away win over Dreams FC in matchday 30 of the domestic top-flight to move out of the relegation drop.

With 35 points, the Ghana Premier League returnees find themselves in 15th position on the standings after 30 matches.

Speaking to the media, the experienced Ghanaian tactician urged calm as aim to escape the drop with Lions at the end of the campaign.

“I came in to make sure we rescue them from where they are because everybody wrote Lions out of the league. People thought they are already relegated before I came in but now, we thank God we are also rocking shoulders with those who were far ahead of us. We are not save yet but it is not over until is over” he said.

Lions will host league leaders Samartex in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Kpando Stadium.

With four games to end the campaign, Lions will be hoping to secure maximum points in a bid to maintain their status in the league.
