Raphael Dwamena eyes La Liga promotion with Segunda side Real Zaragoza

Ghanaian international, Raphael Dwamena has revealed that his aim after joining Real Zaragoza is to help them gain promotion into the Spanish La Liga at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

The striker completed his loan move to the lower division side from U.D Levante on Tuesday evening and was unveiled at the club’s home grounds earlier today.

Speaking in an interview after his unveiling, Raphael Dwamena stressed that he hopes he can help the Los Blanquillos to return into the Spanish top flight at the end of the season.

According to him, he is confident his new side will help him rediscover the previous form he enjoyed whiles playing for Swish side FC Zürich.

“I think the Second Division is harder and harder, I decided to come here to enjoy playing football”.

“But for me the most important thing is that I am here with the team, to work together very hard because we have to get to the top and I think that's all we have to work for”.

“I do not care if I play in First or Second, the challenge is the same, work hard with the team”, the Ghanaian noted.

He added, “Life has its ups and downs and we have to accept the challenges it brings in. Last season was not as expected but I think that is part of football. Real Zaragoza to enjoy playing football and to give the best of me for the Club”.

Dwamena has joined Zaragoza on the back of a difficult season with U.D Levante where he only managed to make 12 appearances for the side without getting on the scoresheet.
