Raphael Dwamena returns to Levante as loan deal with Zaragoza officially expires

Published on: 17 August 2020

Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena has officially several all ties with Real Zaragoza following the team’s elimination from the Spanish Segunda B play-offs.

In July 2019, the forward was loaned from Spanish La Lig outfit UD Levante for a year-long stay with the Spanish Segunda outfit.

Unfortunately, his stint with the club was cut short after he was diagnosed with a fatal heart condition.

As a result, doctors advised Raphael Dwamena to indefinitely stay away from playing football and focus on treating the condition.

Though he no longer played for Real Zaragoza, he had a binding contract with the side. Finally, with the club ending their season over the weekend with the elimination in the semifinals of the play-off for promotion to the Spanish La Liga, the loan has ended with the striker having no ties with the club.

As reported by footballghana.com a few weeks ago, the 24-year-old is close to securing a loan move to Danish second-tier side Velje BK.
