RB Leipzig chief Rangnick warns Real Madrid, Liverpool off Werner

Published on: 02 December 2017

RB Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick insists Timo Werner is not for sale.

The striker is being linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool.

However, Rangnick has fiercely denied his star forward will be leaving in the near future.

"In winter nor in summer: We will keep Timo Werner with us," the German said.

"We are in intensive talks with his advisor.

"These (reports of the transfer in the Spanish media) are things I do not take seriously."

Werner has a contract with Leipzig until 2020, meaning the German club can demand a significant fee for their prized asset.
