Reading Head of Football Operations Mark Bowen cannot hide his joy following the return of Ghana defender Baba Rahman on loan.
Rahman made 29 appearances for the Royals last term and now returns to the Madejski Stadium for the remainder of 2022/23.
He signed for Chelsea from Augsburg in the summer of 2015, playing 23 times during his debut season and impressing against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
“Through his energetic, wholehearted and powerful performances on the pitch and his infectious character off it, Baba became something of a fans favourite here at Reading last season."
"Since the day his loan spell ended in the summer, we have been hoping to bring him back and I am very pleased we have been able to secure his services for the 2022-23 campaign," Head of Football Operations, Mark Bowen told the club's official website.
The 28-year-old has previously played for Schalke, Reims, Real Mallorca and PAOK.
