REAL BETIS veteran JOAQUIN's father: "He agreed a move to Mou's Chelsea, back in 2006"

Interviewed by El Español, Aurelio Sanchez, father of former Spanish international attacking midfielder/winger and Real Betis captain Joaquín (37), revealed: "Before he joined Valencia, back in 2006, he had already agreed a move to Chelsea, which was trained by José Mourinho, at that time. Betis would have cashed 36 million euros from the trade, and 3 more for a friendly match. Joaquín, on his hand, was supposed to be signed on a 5-year deal, including a 6 million euros annual salary.
