La Liga front-runners Real Madrid saw their lead at the top of the league table cut to just one point this weekend, but it wasn't through any fault of theirs.
Barcelona have crept up to within striking distance, but Zinedine Zidane's side still have two games in hand; two games which they would rather have played already, given the psychological effect being just one point ahead can have on a team.
The Champions League holders did not pick up any points on the weekend, as their visit to Celta Vigo was postponed for safety reasons due to Celta's stadium being damaged.
Spanish sourceMarcaclaim that Madrid are so peeved about it, they are considering quitting La Liga for a European Super League.
That certainly seems a bit of an overreaction on Madrid's part, although they would stand to make a lot more money if they were part of the proposed tier which, as an idea, has been floating around for some time.

It is thought that a European Super League would replace the Champions League rather than domestic leagues, but the report claims that Madrid want to quit La Liga anyhow.
Such a move would surely send shockwaves around Europe, and it would probably prompt other clubs to quit their respective leagues as well.
Just don't count on that happening anytime soon though, as in spite of having Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, Madrid just can't be that petty.
