Real Madrid fullback Dani Carvajal is happy to be back in action.
Carvajal is now working his way back to full match fitness after recovering from a heart complaint.
After the draw with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano, the defender stated: “Personally I felt good, feeling strong physically. I am happy, was looking forward to get back to it and get back out on the pitch. Getting over an injury like that is a real source of pride."
Carvajal continued: “I'm frustrated because we've not won it and we've dropped two points. It's a considerable deficit but the team gave it all we had, everyone gave it their all. We couldn't take the win but if we all demand the best of ourselves perhaps we can cut the gap".
“It was a game against our close rivals who are strong defensively. They had chances and so did we, but the fatigue of the game broke it all down and we couldn't score that crucial goal that would've given us the win. It was a difficult away game and now we have to think about the next."
