When one fan asked: "What player in football today reminds you of yourself and the way you play?"

The Germany midfielder replied: "Julian Weigl is going to be a world class player."

@JuWeigl is going to be a world class player https://t.co/p3EHbKqkXj

Kroos and Weigl have trained with each other and featured alongside each other too whilst on international duty with Germany, but are yet to play for the same club side.

Kroos, of course, joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014 in a deal worth between€30m-€40m. Weigl, on the other hand, joined Borussia Dortmund from 1860 Munich in 2015 for a mere £2m.

The 21-year-old has been impressive during his time at Dortmund so far, causing him to be linked with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid. At just 27 himself, Kroos will most likely still be at the club if Madrid made an attempt to sign the midfielder - giving Kroos the chance to mentor him into becoming his replacement.

Weigl has already become a key part of a very young Thomas Tuchel Dortmund side, featuring the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic and Emre Mor.

The defensive midfielder has made more interceptions than any of his Dortmund teammatesand is only behind only Marc Bartra and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in terms of defensive actions (tackles, clearances, interceptions etc).

During the Q&A session, Kroos was even kind enough to offer some deeper insight into the highlights of his career, his personal life and his career plans for afterwards - often threatening to break the 140 character tweet limit with his in-depth explanations.
