Real Madrid have become the latest European giant to be linked with a summer move for Celtic youngster Moussa Dembele, joining the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpoolon the tail of the French 20-year-old.

The former Fulham starlet has banged in 27 goals in 41 games for the SPL leaders in all competitions this season, including a thrilling Champions League brace against Manchester City in September, and his eye for goal has seen the Spanish leaders become the latest side to register an interest.

TheMirrorreport that Zinedine Zidane's Real side have asked to be kept up to date with any potential transfer developments, having kept tabs on the France Under-20 international of late.

Dembele signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Celtic when he arrived from Fulham in the summer, but looks unlikely to see out even half of that time as a host of Europe's top clubs circle around him.

Brendan Rodgers' side are unlikely to let their young star leave without a fight though, reportedly slapping a £40m price-tag on his head to warn off anything but the most enthusiastic interest from rival clubs.

Speaking earlier this month, Rodgers said:"He's got huge potential. He's just turned 20 years of age. I've worked with some really top young talents.I took [Philippe] Coutinho from Inter Milan at 19, [Raheem] Sterling at 17, Suso I put in the [Liverpool] team and he's at AC Milan now.

"He's certainly up there with the big talents. He has a fantastic mentality which helps him. He has talent but he's also very focused on being a footballer."
